Never Let It Go

Posted by T.S.Garp

Make this month of January be the stepping stone to increasing your enthusiasm and motivate your writer’s mind into providing more inspiration by seeking out any and all things helpful such as family, friends, writing partners, acquaintances, peaceful surroundings, pleasant sounds, the latest informative articles, books, writing websites, news, all focusing on the subject of writing and developing your own writing career.

Make a new year’s resolution to expand your writing portfolio and writing goals. Be more productive in the direction your writing is going in and along the lines with your favorite niche and long-term goal as a writer. Attend more writing workshops, creative writing college programs, writing conferences, writing groups, and read other writer’s work. Be inspired and create a voice that not only tells the story, but sells it too. You have to believe in your own work for it to stand alone in an agents hands deciding if this manuscript passes the muster.

Go with renewed encouragement and enthusiasm. Make the writer’s list of things to do and finish before next year arrives. For writers, artist, and musicians, remember the song, the painted image, and the written words that are created solely by you are undeniably magical in its originality, rendering, and beautiful melody - T.S.Garp

National Novel Writing Month Completed

Posted by T.S.Garp

Whew! I've completed the National Novel Writing Month goal for November! That was certainly a daunting task. From rough outline into a final draft, and now that I have quantity, my next (second) draft should be more about quality as I work on sharpening chapters. I still have so many other manuscripts that need my attention. With the holidays in full swing, and so many other writing projects on my hit list, I need to prioritize, and prepare for the New Year (2012) writing goals! - T.S.Garp

Writer's Digest Competitions.

Posted by T.S.Garp

The Writer's Digest Competition covers every top subject like sci-fi, thrillers, romance, crime, horror, and screenwriting. All entries must be 4000 words or less which is the equivalent to a short story or novel. An extended deadline has been made for October 15th. I happened to be working on two books simultaneously right now with each having completed the first three or four chapters, I do not think I will be able to finish in time for this competition, but it is certainly worth mentioning. I am going to have to step it up a bit because of the National Novel Writing Month "Marathon" coming up in November! I definitely feel very creative this fall season and greatly inspired to pursue all the set goals I have planned out before the end of the year. At least I'm able to set and maintain a schedule for myself juggling web designing, reading, and writing on my manuscripts definitely keeps me highly productive, but I also look forward to and make time for doing less on days I need to take a break and enjoy life.
