When lovers are apart from distance and time the skies are darker and your heart is looking for sunshine.


How was I to know?

In this short time

That the light will go

Darkening the skies

Left love gone tumbling by

~

Now the rain is here again

Now I wait for you until the clock strikes ten

Who will arrive this night?

Illuminated by lightning strike

Making wrong into right

~

The season’s change

Faces remain the same

The ice melts away

The dawning of a new day

Springtime is on its way

~

New words of wonder

Life is so special and feeling younger

Rainbow colors against a backdrop of blues

Heart all aflutter when I’m with you

Everything is so very true
~

When my eyes see you over there

Standing so sweetly with loving care

It’s like the whole world is standing by

Especially when I’m near your side
